Background:

Multimedia & Multiculturalism (M&M) is an innovative diversity action programme providing opportunities to talented ethno cultural youth through work internships with media. M&M builds a sense of belonging through inclusive media and media literacy in Canada. UNA-Canada has worked with mainstream and community media outlets, ethno-cultural communities, academic institutions and cultural groups to implement M&M workshops, public roundtables, school and community activities, intergenerational action groups and media capacity building. M&M also built employability for youth through dynamic internship placements with media partners in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax.
